10 Ways to Boost Your Personal Brand!
Andrew Wood
Printer-Friendly Format

This is a simple, bulletproof blueprint for getting to and being recognized by others as being at the very top of your profession. The ideas are organized by the amount of time, money, and effort it takes to accomplish each task. Build your personal brand and promotions, clients and profits are sure to follow!

  1. Blog – A quick, easy, cheap, effective way to get your knowledge and expertise out to clients and prospects.

  2. E-newsletter – Takes more time but can quickly build a loyal following.

  3. Speaking – Not everyone can do it well, but it's a very powerful tool. If you can't speak well, take lessons. Speak wherever you can!

  4. Free special report or booklet – Easy, effective, and you can get someone else to write it using your ideas if you have trouble getting them down on paper.

  5. Articles – The more articles you get out in your industry, the more quickly your reputation will grow. Make sure all your articles have a resource box with  a short bio and a link back to your website!

  6. Free audio –Takes some time and some money but a very effective way to market.

  7. Get yourself on radio or TV –Takes time and effort but can be a great boost, and it's easier to do than most people think.

  8. DVD –  Don't leave getting on TV to chance. Create your own show, get someone to watch it, and it's mission accomplished. Not as expensive as you would think.

  9. Book –  Takes time, effort, and money, but perhaps is the most prestigious and longest-lasting tool to build your personal reputation. (You can always hire a ghostwriter.)

  10. Sophisticated website incorporating all of the above –  This takes time, money, and effort, but you can incorporate almost all of the above elements into one website so people can watch you, listen to you, read your articles, and interact with you!
